Is fatigue and loss of appetite normal during chemotherapy?

I am undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, and I have been having a lot of trouble with fatigue, which is causing me to have a loss of appetite. Is this normal?

Hello

Chemotherapy can be rigorous. Every chemotherapeutic drug has a set of side effects that effect everyone in different ways. Fatigue and loss of appetite are common side effects of chemotherapy, but side effects of the anti nausea drugs that I presume that you are taking can also result in side effects that include fatigue and loss of appetite. My suggestion is that you listen to what your body tells you. If you are fatigued, you need to rest. Please try to eat well as you are able. Discuss these side effects with your doctor as some medication doses may need to be adjusted. The doctors and nurse practitioners can suggest a good diet for you.
Common, but not everyone. Role for diet, education, nutritionist, depression meds. Change in food choices.
Definitely. Just try to keep up your nutrition when you feel up to it.
