OB-GYN(Obstetrician-Gynecologist)|GynecologyOB-GYNThe most common reason for severe intermittent itching is a vaginal yeast infection. First, I would try over-the-counter medicine such as miconazole, itraconazole, etc. It should work. If not, then call your doctor and ask for a prescription called fluconazole, which is an oral medication.
I hope that this will help.
