Psychiatrist Questions Abdominal Pain

Why do I have stabbing pain in my lower abdomen?

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend 2 days back, post which I am having a stabbing pain in my lower abdomen. What could be the cause of this pain? Is it any infection that I may have got during the intercourse? Please advice.

Please see your doctor or go to urgent care.
See your OB GYN. It can be anything from infection to ectopic pregnancy, which is quite dangerous.

Your best follow up is a visit to your LMD. A visit by referral or directly (if you are authorized) to an ob-gyn specialist seems indicated.
First you need medical evaluation and appropriate treatment.
I recommend contacting your primary care provider for further evaluation. You want to get evaluated for various things including infection and trauma.
I will strongly suggest to get it checked by your OBGYN.
We need more details to get an accurate diagnosis. A sexually transmitted disease is usually confined to the external genitalia, the vagina & uterus, which would be felt as lower abdominal pain. If there's pain on urination, there may be a urinary tract infection, and if the infection ascends up the ureters, then pain could be perceived as lower abdominal. A thorough history, pelvic & abdominal exams, and blood count to see if neutrophils are up b/o an infection, plus cultures of the pelvic area, will likely be helpful in making an accurate diagnosis.
