OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Bleeding after Delivery

Even after 45 days of my delivery I am continuing to bleed heavily. Could there be a problem?

I delivered my baby 45 days back and I am still continuing to bleed heavily. Is there something wrong with me internally or is this normal? Should I consult my doctor?

I would recommend being evaluated by your physician or an urgent care.
I recommend seeing your doctor to make sure everything is ok.

I would see a doctor. Rarely, placenta could have maintained attachment inside the uterus. Also, you could have achieved another pregnancy and could be having a miscarriage. Another option is that you could be having an unusually heavy first cycle, but bleeding heavily for more than a week is not usually a normal condition. If you soak through more than one maxi pad per hour, we believe that is too much, clinically. Call your doctor for evaluation. He/she may need some bloodworm or labs and an ultrasound of the uterus to see what’s going on. Molar pregnancy is unusual, but does occur very rarely. Ask your ob/gyn.

See a gynecologist to make sure the uterus is empty completely to rule out retained tissue.
I think you should go see your doctor to make sure that you haven't developed an infection and to exclude other causes. Are you breast feeding?
Definitely consult your gynecologist. You may have some retained placental tissue in your uterus.
