Surgeon Questions Hip Replacement Surgery

Will a fall after a hip replacement surgery require another surgery?

My mother in law had a recent hip replacement surgery and was recovering well. However, just yesterday she slipped and fell down again on the same side. We didn't take her to the doctor right away because we immediately helped her up, but now she is complaining about some pain around her hip. Will she need another surgery?

The Surgeon has to work her up to rule that out.
It is possible. She must see the doctor as soon as possible. X-rays must be taken to determine if she re-injured the hip. She may require surgery again.
If the prothesis is okay, the is no need for surgery. You should take your mother to the phsycian and evaluate that the prothesis is doing okay.
Contact the surgeon and get imaging study. The surgeon will decide what to do next. May not need reoperation.
It is hard to say if she will need surgery again not seeing what a CT scan will show. I would say a CT scan is a must to see what is going on. Her doctor will do what is best for her. It could be nothing but falling after hip replacement surgery should always be checked after a fall ASAP
You need to take her to the Doctor Who did the surgery immediately. Why are you delaying?
