How can I treat a dull pain in my neck?

I am a 34 year old female who works in an office. I have dull pain in my neck from leaning over the computer. How can I treat it?

For long term relief I recommend Corrective Care with a Chiropractor in your area. In the meantime, stretching and foam rolling will ease your symptoms as well as help improve posture. Changing your computer set up can change your posture dramatically. Standing desks, or lumbar support, or just raising the computer screen, or lowering your chair, can all result in less pain.
I like to recommend posture exercises and back extension exercises (rows, pull downs, face pulls) for my patients with discomfort from posture issues. I, of course, recommend getting adjustments to help correct that faster.
You can treat your dull neck pain by using heat or ice and stretching exercises. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication for several days may also be helpful. The key however is to arrange your desk in a more ergonomic fashion to avoid leaning over. See your physician and have x-rays performed if your symptoms do not resolve with the simple measures.

There are many videos available online that show simple exercises and stretches to fix poor posture. This is a great compliment to Chiropractic treatment to fix any underlying causes of pain.
