You have to go to medical school to learn that.
Usually intravenously
You will have a IV access and after connecting to appropriate monitors, medications are given through your iv. Once you’re asleep then you may have a tube placed in your trachea and anesthesia will be maintained by anesthetic gas. This is a very short explanation
There are different methods of administering general anesthesia. Some involve administration of intravenous medication only, and some combine intravenous medication with inhaled anesthetic gases. Also, depending on the type of surgery and preferences of the patient, there may be other anesthetic methods which might be appropriate for your surgery. There are plenty of reliable sources of information and videos about having surgery if you have any questions or concerns. As always, be sure to let your anesthesia provider know about any questions or concerns which you may have. Good luck!
General anesthesia refers to achieving a state of unresponsiveness and unconsciousness. It is usually achieved with a combination of intravenous medicines and/or inhalational anesthetic gases by way of an endotracheal tube or laryngeal mask airway.
First, a premeditation with a sedative or narcotic and anti-vomiting and antisialgoge, then a hypnotic and paralytic agent. A tube is put in your trachea. Maintenance with gases.
