You can reduce the appearance of scarring with microneedling.
You most likely will not get rid of the scars. The goal would be to improve the scars. This can be by topical applications or redoing the surgery. Have confidence in the proposed plan or go to another surgeon. The speciality for this would be plastic surgery.
Thank you for the question. It would be important to see them. Usually what is done is what is called a sacar revision. This implies excising the scar and closing the area s different way. Many times doing scar treatment and compression with a silicone pad and massage may soften, and make scars less apparent.

You cannot get rid of scars. All that can be done is to alter them and sometimes this is worthwhile and at others it may not be.
You have to talk to your doctor and have him give you a frank prognosis as to whether or not you should try.
They will improve for at least one year. Moisture is helpful which can come in the form of lotions or various topicals. I like silicone gel pads. Another option, performed by cosmetic dermatologists, is laser.
I hope that helps!

Most scars on the hand flatten out with time. The best thing to do to reduce surgical scarring is to massage the scars once or twice a day with a moisturizer. You can use vaseline, cocoa butter, Vitamin E oil or other commercially available scar creams. You can also use silicone sheets which are commercially available. You can place them over the scar, usually at night when sleeping. These can also help to reduce scarring. Hope this helps. Good luck!
