Go have your ankle examined by a Chiropractor or Orthopedic.
That depends on what sensations you are experiencing and exactly where as well as the history of the problem. A proper physical assessment is needed to determine the problem and appropriate treatment.
The first thing to do is to assess your ability to bear weight on the foot. If you can't bear weight without pain, you should get it checked by a professional. The next thing is to assess the ankle's ranges of motion. Can you perform dorsiflexion, plantar flexion, inversion and eversion without pain? Basically, can you do the alphabet using your foot to make the letters in the air? If you have pain or a feeling that your foot can't move in all directions, there may be a problem with either the joint or the tendons and muscles. If you are having pain at the area where your foot meets the leg (the front of the ankle is called the mortice joint), you may need a simple adjustment to that joint to reset the position. If you are having continued symptoms that don't feel like they are improving, see a professional and get an exam and X-rays.
I hope this info is helpful.

For some people, they have pain and/or swelling in the ankle joint. There may be restricted range of motion. It may feel like the ankle is jammed or locked up. Some people experience pain in different parts of the body - the knee, hip, lower back, etc. Whenever a joint is restricted in movement, other areas have to compensate and work harder. That is where some people would feel pain and not the restricted joint itself.
Hello,

Ankle dislocation typically presents with some features like pain upon putting weight on your ankle, pain upon touching the area, painful movement, and it may present with a deformity. I would recommend getting an X-ray to exclude other findings like a fracture.
There can be several indications of your ankle needing an adjustment. Compare it to your other ankle and see if there’s a decrease in motion like pointing your toes down or trying to point your toes up towards the ceiling. Any recent injuries to your ankle like an ankle sprain or even if you’re on your feet a lot and they hurt by the end of the day. Another sign is if it’s hard or hurts your ankle to do squats.
If will be painful to the touch and difficult to bear weight on it. You may have swelling at the joint. Having a qualified chiropractor examine your ankle will help determine the alignment of the bones in your ankle. If they are found to be out of alignment, an adjustment to the ankle can be preformed to correct the alignment of the ankle.
Pain, swelling, weakness, and stiffness are signs that a joint is not functioning properly.
You will feel pain in the area. Chiropractic extremity adjustment can help.
Any concern about dislocation or fracture should be ruled out with evaluation medical and with possible Xrays or other diagnostic tests. These cases should be seen first at a ER or Urgent care.
