How do you know when babies are teething?

My baby is 3 months old. I think he is teething but I'm not sure. How do you know when babies are teething?

They drool a lot, can be fussy and want to bite/chew on things.
When babies start teething, they can have a low grade fever (up to 101), drooling, and swollen/sore gums.
You will usually see a lot of drooling and feel the front bottom two teeth breaking through on the bottom gum line.
Usually there is increased drooling and a small hump over the tooth spot. Most babies cut the 2 bottom front teeth first. Babies also want to suck on things even when they are not hungry. There can also be more irritability than usual
