Hi, only a qualified dentist can help you with a "hole" in your tooth. The cause may be a fracture or, more likely, a carious lesion. Caries is a bacterial infection of the tooth and early treatment is better and less expensive than trying to treat at home.
Normally, I would say see your dentist for an exam and treatment. In COVID 19 times, dentists are limited to emergency care. There is some thought that a dentist could apply Silver Diamine Flouride to the tooth as an interim treatment. I could be done without instrumentation, with cotton isolation and perhaps in the parking lot while you are in your car-just a thought,
I am sorry that you are having pain. Oil of clove will stop it for a while but the best and long term fix is to see a dentist as soon as possible. It does not get better on its own and will only get worst. If you wait too long the tooth will rot beyond repair and it will have to be extracted. Please don't wait that long.
You must have the hole professionally fixed by a dentist, it can also be closed and pain minimized by a temp filling placed at home (kits are sold at pharmacies).

Hello,

Sorry to hear about your tooth hurting. However, the only good way to get the hole in your tooth to stop hurting for longer then just a day is to get the hole filled. Now this could mean a few different things such as; fillings, root canal, crown, etc (depending on the size and location of the hole in your tooth). They do make over-the-counter topical pain relief agents that you can put on your tooth. Another thing people do is put a small piece of cotton in the hole to block food and liquids getting into the hold to cause more sensitivity.
Hope this helps.

My best to you!
