How early should I start taking prenatal vitamins?

I am a 29 year old female and I am trying to get pregnant. How early should I start taking prenatal vitamins?

Start as soon as you start attempting gestation. Its best to on them one to two months before conception.
In my opinion, it is never too early to start taking prenatal vitamins. I would start immediately. Your body could always use extra iron to help satisfy the demands of pregnancy which are significant and the extra folic acid will aid in fetal development. No real downside to taking them now rather than waiting for pregnancy to occur.
Current recommendations are to begin taking prenatal vitamins daily beginning 3 months prior to conceiving so that you are receiving adequate folic acid supplementation prior to conception. I also recommend that your prenatal vitamins contain DHA for neurological support.
