About 4-12 weeks.
in general 2-3 months for any surgical wound to heal and get strong completely

I typically quote patients about 2 weeks for about 95% of wound healing. That can vary depending on nutritional levels, medications (especially steroids), and the presence of an infection.
Depends on the incision and the type of material used to the close the incision. Most incisions take 6 weeks to heal, but a year to completely return to normal skin.
There is no set time. If you are a smoker or a diabetic, it can take longer. Just do what the doctor tells you and before you know it you will be healed up.

Hello and Happy New Year! Complete healing takes one year. It is hard for most people to get their minds around that concept. I will not bore you with the science. When people ask how long do "stitches take to heal," they are really asking, when the stitches, staples, etc., can be removed. It depends upon where the sutures are on the body. For the abdomen, the answer is generally 7 days. This is often modified by the surgeon's judgment.
Complete healing can take up to 6 months in the case of large surgical incisions.
The question must be how long will you need to heal after surgery? A total heal is 90 days. The removal of stitches depends on what surgery you have done or if you use re-absorbable or not re-absorbable ones. The real answer will depend also on what kind of abdominal surgery and the experience and expertise of the surgeon. If I do a Tummy Tuck, I use nylon for the abdominal wall that will stay forever and for the closure of the skin and fat Vicril a re-absorbable one.
