Depends, your progress or lack of should be monitored, which may give you an idea about time.
There are different opinions on how long it will take to correct one's posture. In my opinion, you should start with 10-30 minutes a day and gradually work up to one hour per day. Wearing it for long periods at a time will actually weaken muscles and increase dependency on the brace. As for how long it will take for correction depends on the severity of the altered posture and the physicial condition of the individual. Usually three to six months or until the person is comfortable with the obtained results. Also, regular chiropractic treatment will be a valuable adjunct to enhance your progress.

You should not wear a brace for any reason other than an injury.
You should wear the posture corrector long enough to feel that your body has normalized good posture. This is different for everyone. The purpose is to keep good posture even after you stop wearing the corrector.
It depends on what is causing your bad posture. I typically don't recommend a posture corrector because it may worsen the problem if you have weak postural muscles.
