How long does it take for amoxicillin to work for a gum infection?

I am a 28 year old male. I want to know how long does it take for amoxicillin to work for a gum infection?

If you have gum disease, amoxicillin will help, but it will not cure the problem. Within two or three days, you will see some improvement.
Traditionally amoxicillin doesn’t work well for gum infections like periodontitis, to relieve that you would need a scaling and root planing. If the infection is related to a tooth, you will need a root canal or extraction. In this case amoxicillin is often given to reduce the infection to allow for ease of numbing which traditionally takes about 3 days.
