How long does it take for food to digest after overeating?

If you overeat, then the stomach takes longer to empty. After a standard-sized meal, the stomach should be mostly empty by 4 hours after finishing the meal. The larger the calorie amount ingested, then the longer it will take to empty the stomach. So, if you overeat, it would be expected to take 6, 8, or more hours to empty the stomach.
It really depends on the type of food, but up to 8 hours.
6 to 8 hours. Pepcid may help. Try to avoid overeating.
On average, after roughly 1 hour, the stomach typically will digest and empty about 10% of what was ingested. A normal stomach will digest and empty over 90% of its contents after 4 hours.
