“How long does it take to recover from vascular surgery?”
I have deep vein thrombosis on the inside of my leg, and I'm going to get an open thrombectomy next week. How long would the recovery from this surgery be?

Generally 3-5 days. If incision is made in the groin, your surgeon may recommend daily wound care and restrictions on carrying weight as well as exercise for 2-4 weeks. If procedure is done with wires and catheters without incision, recovery is 1-2 days
