Plastic Surgeon Questions Trigger Finger Syndrome

How long does the pain last after finger surgery?

I'm 22, and I'm going to have plastic surgery on my trigger finger at the end of the month. How long does the pain last after this surgery?

A few days.
That is extremely variable! For one thing, trigger fingers are rare in 22-year-olds so make sure you have the correct diagnosis there and that surgery is needed. Surgery is soft tissue only. Pain is usually mild and lasts for a couple of days...but it heals like a deep cut on your hand. So there is discomfort for a few weeks.

Pain after trigger release surgery is usually mild. Narcotics are not usually required. The pain usually lasts 2-3 days and is more like an ache than pain. Mild discomfort can last 2-4 weeks.
