Normally, 3-12 weeks.
The recovery can depend on how severe the damage is to the cartilage but can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months.
Hi there,

It will depend on many factors such as previous activity level, daily activities, how severe is the surgery. Typically, it can take a few months, but sometimes it will take a year depending on how dedicated you are in going to physical therapy and performing the importance exercises given by your therapist. In addition, it is important to follow precautions as well as the steps given by your surgeon to take care of your knee after surgery in order for the tissues to heal properly without getting any infection. Unfortunately, I am unable to give you an exact number of months you'll be able to recover as there are many factors.
