“How serious is being anemic?”
I am a 31 year old female and I was diagnosed with anemia. How serious is being anemic?

Seriousness of anemia is very dependent on the cause. In older patients there is always a concern of underlying cancer like colon cancer. In your age group that would be very uncommon. Anemia in young women tends to come from your menstrual bleeding. There are many causes of anemia and could simply be due to nutritional deficiencies like b12 or iron. Increasing iron in your diet or iron supplement may cure the anemia. Regardless it should be evaluated to find the cause.
