Plastic Surgeon Questions Breast Augmentation

Is an augmentation the only way to level out breast size?

I'm 27 years old, and one of my breasts is larger than the other. My right is a C cup, and my left is an A cup. A surgeon says that I should consider a breast augmentation to level them out, but I don't really want to do that. Are there other ways?

Hello, if you want to equalize them both to a C cup, then an implant is the only option. You may also visit my website at DrRoya.com for further information.
Congenital breast asymmetry is a common problem. Women should carefully consider what option is best for them. A large breast may deserve reduction by surgery with repositioning of the nipple/areolar complex. A diminutive breast might best be treated with an implant augmentation. Ultimately, the best result is to have symmetric breasts with retention of normal sensation. Prospective patients should seek out Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who have experience in this condition. Look at their examples of previous work and there are no " dumb questions'.
Yes. Depending on the size difference between your breasts you may be best treated with placement of a small implant in the smaller breast and a skin tightening/lift of the larger breast. Fat grafting to augment the smaller breast is another option rather than placing an implant.
A properly trained surgeon would need to examine you and discuss the various options.
Your smaller breast can be made to match your larger breast with fat grafting where fat is taken from, for example, your abdomen, waist, hips, or thighs and injected into the smaller breast. The procedure may have to be repeated to obtain a permanent correction.
The only way at this time to increase a breast size is with saline or silicone implants. Some plastic surgeons also use autologous fat grafts some still question this procedure. Make sure to consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons. By the way breast asymmetry is a fairly common issue.
I do not quite understand what it means to level out the breast but there are different procedures to make both sides symmetrical please make an appointment with the fruit board-certified plastic surgeon
