I am a 27 year old female. I want to know if cheek augmentation is permanent?

Hello. Yes it is, since it’s a permanent implant which is placed over each cheek bone. You can visit my website at DrRoya.com for further information.
If cheek augmentation is performed with a filler such as Juvéderm it is not permanent but may last a couple of years or more. If cheek augmentation is done with a surgical implant, Then it will be permanent
Cheek augmentation can be performed with filler or with an implant. The implant is permanent. The filler can last from 6 months to a year. Always make sure that your plastic surgeon is familiar with correct cephalometric proportions of your face for the most natural look.

You should consider this a permanent procedure. Many plastic surgeons will recommend implants . These have risks of movement, infection and scar formation. I recommend using a patient’s own bone as a graft to augment the cheek. There are always some risks involved, but they are small. A surgeon with maxillofacial training and experience is preferred.

This is a great questions. There are several ways to augment someone’s cheek. One is through the use of fillers like Restylane, Jeuvaderm, Sculptra and Radiesse. These methods give great results but are no permanent. You can also do cheek implants which is a surgical procedure. In this case, however, the results are permanent. You may want to start by getting fillers and if you like the results move on to a more permanent method.
If you mean with implants, yes, but often not advisable. Implants have lots of potential problems. If you mean by adding fat, the answer is that whatever fat survives the transfer beyond 6 weeks is probably permanent.
