No one is too young nor too old for chiropractic.
Yes my oldest patient was 96 and my youngest 6 weeks. Tell him to go as he will feel so much better and help prevent further problems.
Yes. Chiropractic treatments are very safe and effective in treating back pain for any age. A thorough evaluation is performed to ensure that there are no contraindications to treatment.
Yes, it's very safe. It's safe for 0-100+. We exam everyone and set up what is best for each patient.
Yes. My oldest patient was 104 years old.
A good Doctor of Chiropractic will perform a thorough examination which includes orthopedic and neurological tests in addition to necessary vitals and review of the patient history. Age alone is never a limiting factor. My oldest patient was 97 years old an my daughter was adjusted on her first full day of life. However, with a proper evaluation, your Doctor of Chiropractic can give you a professional opinion regarding whether or not care is appropriate for your grandfather.
Yes, very safe.
Chiropractic care is not only safe for seniors, but effective! I see many patients into their 90’s as they not only function better, but they feel better as their body is coordinated.
Chiropractic care has been shown to be safe and effective for patients of all ages, from newborns on up.  Older patients respond well to chiropractic treatment, because chiropractic adjustments help increase range of motion and restore the functions of the body that allow the patient to heal.  Individuals ‘of an age’ can have their own set of complications, generally there is some form of arthritis, some have chronic conditions, and some may have contraindications to chiropractic care like osteoporosis, aneurisms and other conditions.  These can be discovered through the full examination each patient receives at a chiropractic office prior to the administration of care. Of course when any patient comes in, the exam is an important part of determining whether chiropractic care is appropriate for the patient or whether the patient should be referred out for care at another provider or chiropractic be used in a multi-disciplinary approach.
Chiropractic is one of the safest treatments in the world. It can do a world of good for those with back pain according to all the research without the side effects of drugs or the complication of surgery. Age is not the question. I have personally adjusted a just born infant, a 98 year old, and a 410 pound patient and everything in between. As to your grandfather, a chiropractor will determine if it is appropriate to adjust him before he/she does so. And know, there are many chiropractic techniques, some with little or no force at all and most DCs know several and will choose what's right for him.

Sure it is. Chiropractors are trained to examine and determine the health of the individual, no matter the age, before treatment. They will see if he is able to be manually adjusted or if they should use a gentler method.

Yes, it is safe for all ages. I have treated patients from 3 weeks of age to 105 years of age.

Chiropractic is safe for all ages and will help anyone live a better quality of life!
Safety with care isn’t age dependent. It is case by case. Your grandfather would need to go in for a consultation and exam.
