Yes, you can add 250 mg of tylenol to that for better effect.
Any analgesic is good for toothache. But since Ibuprofen 800 need to be prescribe, healths profesional base on your medical history and needs will provide the strengths or potency. Side effects "if any" should addressed ahead de the time. Always that analgesic need to be professionally prescribe.
Toothaches are an inflammatory response and Ibuprofen is a very strong anti-inflammatory and generally very effective at relieving tooth pain especially at 800 mg. the maximum dosage that should be taken, and not more than once a day, or twice but not over a long period. Prompt attention by a dentist is a must
Yes Ibuprofen 800 mg is good for a toothache but you do not want to exceed 2400 mg in a day. Current thinking is to combine Acetaminophen (Tylenol) with Ibuprofen. What I would recommend is to take 2 Tylenol 325 mg each and 2 Ibuprofen 200 mg each. Repeat every six hours as needed. Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen work differently and are very effective together.
Hi there,

Yes, it's excellent, but take a maximum amount of 800 mg three times a day. Better choice, see a dentist asap!
If you are healthy you can safely alternate 600mg ibuprofen with 1000mg Tylenol. No more than 3200mg ibuprofen per 24 hours and not more than 4000mg Tylenol. If you are having to do this, you should contact a dentist. Times are interesting right now with COVID, but that much pain would qualify as an emergency.
Ibuprophen seems to work very well however I prefer to start with 400mg every 6-8 hours with plenty of water (hydration) no more than 1600 mg in 24 hours
Assuming that you have no allergies or underlying medical problems that would prohibit you from taking any OTC medications (check with your MD if you have any questions) taking 1 800mg ibuprofen along with 3 extra strength Tylenol (acetominophen) will provide you with narcotic strength pain relief. Do not exceed taking this combination more often than every 8 hours.
Yes that will be good for a toothache as long as you do not have an an aspirin allergy or bleeding disorders. Ibuprofen alternated with Tylenol (take "Advil" now, 4-6 hours later take Tylenol instead) will give better pain relief due to different mechanisms.
