Is it bad to only eat twice a day while pregnant?

I am a 27 year old pregnant woman. I want to know if it is bad to only eat twice a day while pregnant?

It really depends on how much your pre pregnancy weight is and how far along in pregnancy you are. It may be absolutely fine as far as you are getting appropriate calories and gaining weight appropriate to your prepregnancy weight
It is not good or bad. I would suggest that you eat smaller meals 3 to 5 times daily. A meal may be 1/2 sandwich, a small salad or just a piece of fruit. Try not to let yourself get too hungry.
Not necessarily. However Eating throughout the day maintains your sugar levels. This can help control hunger and weight gain during the pregnancy.
No it is not
As long as your two meals are nutritious and you are getting adequate iron and vitamins, and fluids, two meals are fine.
That’s an easy question but a complicated answer. Rrect answer is : 1) adequate daily hydration is key: 128oz total oral fluids/day with 64oz wate, 16oz electrolyte and remainder in ‘other’. 2) Only additional calories/day that is needed in pregnancy is 300 calories extra/day; that’s an apple and orange. 3) Adequate exercise is key, even if it’s 4-6pair of stairs/day and/or 10,000steps/day. 4) Cutting unnecessary man-made carbs and knowing not only your fasting blood glucose AND your fasting insulin level is key to knowing if you are prone to gestational diabetes. 5) Most patients are told to gain 25-35# total for pregnancy based on many factors; know what your doctor has in mind for your and your baby’s best health. 6) Aerobic exercise IS reasonable and healthy for patients to do while pregnant, esp if they are already used to doing aerobic exercise.

Knowing what your body works best with also helps: some patients do best with more carbs while other patients do best with more protein or more fats; knowing your metabolic body type is important but that is best done BEFORE you are pregnant.
Hi!

I wish there were a simple way to answer that question, but it really depends on a number of factors. If you are early in your pregnancy and battling with nausea and/or vomiting (or even later in the pregnancy), I will generally encourage a patient to eat what and when she can. You may find "trigger foods" that make things worse that you will want to avoid. The most important thing in that instance is to stay hydrated. If you are later in the pregnancy, as the fetus grows and compresses all your internal organs, you may find that you might not be able to eat as much as you used to, and might have to adjust to eating smaller meals more frequently. The other thing with eating only twice a day is that it might create large fluctuations in your blood sugar, which might have you feeling weak, dizzy, lightheaded, or nauseous. You may find that you feel better eating more frequently. It's important to maintain a balanced diet, eating enough calories (not just sugars and carbs, but also proteins) in the right foods and proportions to nourish yourself and your growing baby.

Good luck!

It’s important to eat healthy and regularly. Eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and small snacks in between. The growing fetus needs continued nourishment. Also important to drink plenty of fluids!! Enjoy this time of your life!

It's not bad, most pregnant women feel better by eating small meals spread out through the day but it's not dangerous to only twice.
You in general should eat three meals a day to decrease episodes of low blood sugar.
