Orthopaedic Surgeon Questions Knee Surgery

Is it normal for scar to itch constantly after knee surgery?

I had surgery on my knee to repair a ligament last month, and my scar has started being itchy all the time. Is this normal? Will it go away on its own?

Yes
It might be forming scar tissue -Keloid Formation. Keep the site clean -Follow up with Your Surgeon and check.
That can happen; dry skin/healing scar. Try gently applying Vitamin E oil twice a day. That should help it clear faster.
Yes, that can be normal. Should improve with time. Try Benadryl cream.
Yes, it is normal as long as it is healing well, not draining, not unusually red or hot. It will get better with time, and once fully healed (usually 3 weeks after surgery), get a deep massage with straight cocoa butter for 5 minutes 3/day for one month.
