I always warn my patients that it’s typical to feel more sore after their treatment, but it should only last for a day or two.
Some yes, some no. We’re starting to make structural change. The body is resistant to structural change. Kinda like putting braces on a kids teeth, the first day or so it is probably kinda sore. This will pass if there is an understanding between doctor and patient. Remember knowledge is powerful.
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours after an adjustment a patient might feel sore after treatment. In my clinical practice, I had a patient who would get very sore if he was rotated too much during an adjustment so I had to use a different technique to adjust him and he didn't get the post treatment soreness. With that being said, let your chiropractor know and they can make changes or even give you advice on how to help with the discomfort after adjusting. If you're having blurry vision, intense headaches or an increase in numbness and tingling into the legs or arms after treatment, call your chiropractor sooner than later to make sure you don't need to see someone else for care.
It is not normal, but it could be possible. Discuss this with your chiropractor next time you go, otherwise, I would call their office to discuss this with them.
Hello,

Normal, no, common yes. Soft tissue, muscle, tendons and ligaments that help stabilize the spine are also “moved” during an adjustment, meaning their lengths and resting positions are altered. You may feel like you got a deep massage or started a new workout program which is common.

I would estimate less than 10% of my patients are sore or worse after first adjustment but it does happen. I warn every new patient it could happen. But the soreness feels like your hamstrings when you run a mile for the first time in months. Best part is usually it's only the first adjustment you get sore. Rarely after that.
It depends on how you feel worse. We don't adjust everyone. We are a neurologically based clinic, so the brain has a metabolic threshold and you don't want to go past it but challenge it. If you go past this threshold one might feel worse afterwards.
It can be normal to feel a bit worse after an adjustment for a day or 2. Longer than that may indicate further investigation and possibly a change to the treatment.
Yes. The longer you have had poor health, the longer the body will take to recycle healthy changes
