Is it safe to let a chiropractor crack your neck?

I am a 37 year old male. I want to get a chiropractic adjustment. Is it safe to let a chiropractor crack your neck?

Chiropractors have more training in adjusting the neck than any other profession. While every medical procedure has its risks, chiropractic is among the safest there is. If you compare annual deaths, I would be more afraid of dying from aspirin, drowning in the bathtub, or getting struck by lightning.
Absolutely. Safer and healthier than taking toxic drugs that cover up symptoms but the problem is still there and will continue to get worse as time goes on.
You will love how you feel from the very first adjustment. You may feel some soreness at first, I see my patients get relief immediately then after a few it starts to hold and you will have joy!
An adjustment done properly with an exam and possible Xrays should be done first
Very much so
It is our intent that makes the difference in what we do this lifetime! Your friend might crack your neck, but a chiropractor determines which bones are pressing upon a nerve and then he gives a dynamic thrust with the desire to correct the pinched nerves and allow the body to heal itself & it is officially called an "adjustment." I have been a chiropractor for 40 years and I never crack a bone! I do adjust people's spines every day.

In the majority of cases, yes. The most common side effect is soreness the next day or two. That being said no single treatment type is for everybody. If you go to a chiropractor the first thing they should do is a physical exam so they can determine what conditions you may or may not have. Once they know what your condition is then they can recommend the correct treatment for you which may or may not be a chiropractic adjustment. I hope this helps, if you have more questions your best option is to ask further questions to a chiropractor in their office.
We are trained in assessing and diagnosing neck issues. Cracking is what we do also known as an adjustment. We work to realign the spine and increase range of motion.

It depends on the condition of your spine and surrounding tissues. As long as it’s a healthy spine (no pathology, fractures, bone loss, etc.) and the doctor determines you need an adjustment, then yes, it’s safe to get an adjustment on your neck. I use an instrument for most of my neck adjustments because a lot of people are afraid of getting their necks “cracked,” but those adjustments are very safe.

With a proper Exam and Necessary X-rays it is extremely safe.
Yes, but adjust, not crack! You crack eggs, not necks!
Yes, it is one of the safest treatments you can receive.
