No. It's a quick and simple process. Usually painless. If patient has a very sensitive tooth during the crown seating process, you can use anaesthetic but that will throw off getting the bite right. Usually only takes 30 min or less if the dentist is using an expensive lab that does quality work.
Unsually not at all. The tooth is numbed with an anesthetic (pinch for less than 3 seconds) the whole procedure takes less than 10 minutes. You should not feel a thing during cementation.
Not if you are healthy, have healthy gums and you teeth are not inclined at odd angles or are very crowded. Also, the dentist should be skilled and focused on your treatment and not constantly interrupted foe hygiene checks or office management concerns. Probably a dentist that has been out of school for at least 4 years would be a better choice.
Not at all. A simple procedure and no pain.
To get a porcelain crown is very comfortable, you need couple of visits, you will be numb, so you will not feel anything. First visit is to prepare the tooth and placing temporary, the second visit is to place the permanent crown for you! If the tooth had a root canal done, you may not need to even get numb!
