Dentist Questions Jaw Surgery

Is jaw surgery painful?

I'm getting jaw surgery to correct a bad bite, but I'm just a little nervous about my procedure. Is this surgery going to be painful? How long is the recovery for it?

Definitely need to discuss this questions with your surgeon.
Any surgery is done under anesthesia so it will not be painful. After surgery a pain killer will take care of pain.
You will be frozen for the procedure, so you won’t feel anything. The recovery depends on your body and how fast of a healer you are.
Jaw surgeries vary greatly. I would ask these questions of the person doing the surgery.
