Pharmaceutical Medicine Questions Tylenol

Is a loss of appetite a common side effect of Tylenol?

I've been taking Tylenol for a cold, but since I started taking it I noticed that I don't really have an appetite. Is this a side effect from the Tylenol?

Yes, loss of appetite is a side effect of Tylenol. Do not exceed 4000 mg per day. Call your doctor if you feel pain in your upper stomach, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes). These are signs of liver damage.
Your loss of appetite is mostly likely due to your cold and not the Tylenol.
Decreased appetite is not a common side effect of Tylenol. It may be a symptom of your cold. If this does not resolve after your cold ends, you should speak with a physician.
