My father died a few days after immunotherapy 2 treatment?

I would like to know if giving fluids for the kidneys prior to the immunotherapy treatment could have contributed to this tragedy? I was told that his kidney level was slightly off so fluids were given beforehand. A family member says he never had a problem with hydration and that his level was what they usually are. Thank you for any info. My father was in an otherwise healthy person, extremely bright, usual self even when I spoke to him one week prior.

The hydration before Immunotherapy is a standard treatment to prevent worsening of kidneys.
Hydrating a patient to protect the kidneys prior to certain therapies is common prophylactic practice - not knowing the underlying cardiac/health condition given his age, I am unable to suggest if there was any deviation from norm with the information provided.
