Is physical therapy useful in weight loss?

I am struggling with my weight loss and I am considering going to a physical therapist to help me become more flexible. Do you think this will help me at all?

short answer: most likely no. You may have to be very stiff and your ROM be very limited to the point that moving is painful and not possible. Then, Yes. stretching would help Now, doing exercises that actively stretch will help you burn calories instead of passive stretching. Yes. PT will assist you in becoming a healthier version of yourself. You will gain strength, flexibility and mobility. Do not get discouraged in the first 2 months as weight gains could be minimal. Just remember muscle weighs more than fat. I say this as during the earlier stages of a program some just look at scales and get discouraged as they do not see the numbers they expect. Good luck.
You should go to a physical therapist to do metabolic test. This will give you a basic data about your metabolism. Doing flexibility exercise is not going to make you lose weight
