Is Pilates helpful in treating urinary incontinence?

I was told that doing Pilates can be very helpful in treating problems like urinary incontinence. Is it true? If so, how?

No, Pilates are of no help because it is a different muscle group.

Pilates can help with stress urinary incontinence as it strengthens the pelvic floor muscles, but will not help for detrusor overactivity. To determine the cause of the incontinence, a urodynamics evaluation would be required.
I'm not sure about pilates. Kegels can help with strengthening the pelvic floor.
Pelvic floor muscle training can sometimes improve urinary symptoms.
If Pilates strengthens your pelvic muscles , it may help with stress urinary incontinence , and prevent leakage of urine when you jump, cough, sneeze or laugh.
