Anesthesiologist Questions Jaw Surgery

What should I do to prepare for jaw corrective surgery?

I need to get jaw corrective surgery next week, and I'm a little nervous for. Is there anything that I need to do prepare for my surgery? And, also will I get anesthesia only in that area?

That surgery is more typically done under a general anesthesia in the hospital. I would expect that you would have a pre-op appointment with your surgeon, and those would be appropriate questions to ask them at that time. There is not much else to do, other than enjoy some nice meals!
Your surgeon and the hospital staff will contact you in regards to the specific pre surgical preparation for your procedure. If you are taking any medications on a regular basis, please also double check whether or not you are supposed to take those. For most corrective jaw surgery, you will be under general anesthesia, or completely asleep, so just plan on resting and recovering!
Nothing specific you need to do to prepare. Depending on surgery, you may have both local anesthetic as well as general.

Your oral & maxillofacial surgeon should prepare you for the surgery, including all the consents, the risks and potential complications of the surgery, the pre-op and post op instructions, and follow up appointments. You will be under general anesthesia, at least that is how I treat my patients. Good luck.
Just keep yourself healthy. You do not need to get any throat infection or bronchitis. You will receive general anesthesia. Most patients do well with these procedures.

We hope the best for you,

You will probably need to not eat or drink anything after midnight before the day of surgery and you will probably receive general anesthesia for your surgery, but much more information is required to give you more specific information.
