Radiologist Questions Radiation Therapy

What can I do to reduce the side effects of my radiation therapy?

I am undergoing radiation therapy for my ovarian cancer treatment. I am having severe side effects like nausea, hair loss, loss of appetite and so on. Are there ways to reduce these side effects or are they a part of every radiation therapy.

I am a diagnostic radiologist, not a therapeutic one, there is a difference.
Sorry. I am not a radiation oncologist. I will defer to your radiation oncologist for those answers.

I can't answer that as I am a radiologist and not a Radiation Oncologist. They are concerned with radiation therapy, while radiologists are concerned with diagnosis.

Sorry
I am not an expert on radiation side effects, as I am not a radiation therapist. I would tell you however that you might ask your radiation therapist if medical cannabis might be helpful.
Unfortunately, radiation therapy causes severe side effects as you mentioned. There are some who never feel that cannabis in the form of medication can help with appetite and perhaps some of the discomfort. It would be best to check with your radiation oncologist regarding this. I have very little knowledge of this.
