Can scoliosis and neck stiffness cause physical disability?

I have a severe heaviness in my head and my neck region. What could be the reason for this? Can conditions like scoliosis and stiffness in the neck lead to severe physical disability? What can I do to resolve this? Will physiotherapy and yoga be helpful?

If you do not get on a proper stretching regiment it can become debilitating but it does not have to. I would definitely get examined to determine what muscles are tight and what muscles are weak.
It could be a number of possible conditions, which cannot be determined by the information given, alone. Physiotherapy and yoga could definitely help both scoliosis and neck stiffness, but these issues are best addressed by having an evaluation to fully assess your condition and determine the best plan of care.
Yes, physical therapy will definitely help. Positioning, stretching, and sometimes we recommend a special back brace.
Can scoliosis lead to disability? Yes. Go seek a local Physical Therapist for a consultation in your specific case. They should be able to guide you in the road to recovery.
