Seborrheic dermatitis face product?

Hi, I have the condition mentioned on my forehead. Would you say it's better to use skin care products for oily skin or dry skin? Been using everything! I should control the oil correct? Moisturizer for dry skin to control the flakes which is thick and rich or light moisturizer? Thank you.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a form of eczema and usually runs in families. It is characterized by oils, scales, itchiness and redness. Using moisturizers for the scan can make it worse, and attempting to dry out oilyness can also make it worse. It is best to see a dermatologist who can prescribe a topical antiinflammatory agent--a real medicine and not an OTC product.
For seborrheic dermatitis, it is prevalent in oily skin areas and hypothesized to be caused by a yeast that lives on our skin. Using Nizoral 1% or other dandruff shampoos OTC even as a wash for affected areas of the forehead 3-4 times per week will help. If you need a prescription, please see your board-certified dermatologist for assessment and treatment.

Ketoconazole is a great choice.
