My 11 year old son has a fever and is home from school. Should I give fever reducer to my child?

You don’t necessarily have to give fever reducer for your child when they have a fever. It depends on how high the fever is and how the child is behaving. If you decide to give the fever reducer make sure you take the temperature before giving the medicine to document how high they get and how often.

If the fever is low, you could watch If he is uncomfortable, then tylenol or motrin can be given. Fever sometimes helps kill viruses.
