Should I go to the ER for a lung injury?

I am a 37 year old male. I want to know if I should go to the ER for a lung injury?

Yes
They (the emergency department) should have any and all diagnostic and treatment options you should need. However, if you have a primary care provider or clinic, they also could evaluate you and help decide if you need emergency treatment or if they can adequately assess your condition as an outpatient. If not too complicated, primary care could take care of this and could also refer you to a pulmonologist (a lung medical specialist) or a thoracic surgeon (a lung/chest surgical specialist) if needed. The emergency department usually has these specialists on-call for consultation also.
