Pediatrician Questions Physical Therapy

Should I consider physical therapy for my daughter?

My daughter broke her ankle while his ice skating with her friends. Now the cast is off and her ankle is like 90% healed, but she's still experiencing some pain. I honestly think it's because she's still a little stiff in that area. I would like to see if physical therapy can help her loosen up the muscles in her ankle and foot. Do you think I should consider it?

Yes. Muscles atrophy and joints become stiff when casted so it is important to achieve pre-injury state by addressing range of motion deficits and re-gaining the strength that was lost due to the immobility.
Physical therapy can usually help with pain and endurance. She will have to strengthen her muscles because she has not been using the broke ankle like before
