Make sure you have a fluoridated water supply, or add it if you drink water that has none. See a child dental specialist once they have their full complement of baby teeth. Those are very important to maintain until the adult teeth come in!
Strict hygiene is very important for both mother and baby. More so for the mother until the baby starts to grow teeth. Growths can occur on the gums called granulomas during pregnancy if good hygiene is not maintained.
