OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Masturbation

I masturbated and I am now suffering from urine incontinence. Are the two related?

I am a 34 year old woman and my husband is traveling most of the time. I end up masturbating often. But now, I have developed a slight urinary incontinence and often my pee leaks. Could it be because of my masturbation?

Masturbatiion is a healthy way of relieving sexual tension when your partner is away. It does not cause incontinence. Some women do lose a small amount of urine during orgasm but this is only a problem if it bothers you and can be avoided by emptying your bladder before beginning.
Incontinence associated with coughing or sneezing is most often due to pelvic changes that occur sometimes years after childbirth.
No. You should see your doctor. It may be a simple bladder infection.
Have a check up done by a urologist to rule out bladder drop and have a gynecologist check you also.
not unless you have developed a urinary tract infection, sometimes a patient may have incontinence with a urinary tract infection.
Do you leak with orgasm, exercise, cough, or sneeze when you have the urge to go? Masturbation does not cause incontinence, however, inadequately cleaned toys can lead to urinary tract infections and they can cause incontinence. Please get a urine culture to make sure you don't have a bladder infection.
The two are not necessarily related, but could be. This would most likely be related to a urinary tract infection, irritation to the urethra, or bladder irritation. If you have had children, it could be strictly related to childbearing.

Good luck. I hope this helps.
That may be related by whatever you used that may have weakened the muscles of the vagina, weakening the bladder support. See your doctor for an exam. May be corrected by doing Kegel exercises.

Most likely they are not related unless per chance you injured something inside the vagina which is not likely and if that was the case you would have seen bleeding. Not uncommon for women to develop some level of incontinence as they get older especially if they have had children and more likely if those deliveries were vaginal. If concerned that you might have injured something then have your GYN provider check.
There is no known association of masturbation and urinary incontinence unless you have used "toys" which can irritate the urethral opening from the bladder and can give symptoms like a UTI which may cause some urinary leakage. If you have symptoms like urgency, burning and frequency you should have a urinalysis done.
Very highly unlikely! Although HOW you masturbate may cause some irritation of the urethra since your clitoris and urethral opening are so very close to each other. It is conceivable that if you use gels or toys these may be causing some irritation in this area. For the most part stress urinary incontinence is a mechanical/anatomical factors from child birth. The other type of urine leakage is from urogenital bladder spams.....like when a muscle twitches causing you to leak.....most often from nerve stimulation....so an orgasm may cause pudendal nerve discharge which can cause some minor leakage. If these factors are not the cause then an evaluation by your urologist may ascertain the cause of your urine leakage.
Not usually, but you may have a urinary tract infection. Drink some cranberry juice and get this checked out.
You may have a urinary tract infection. Masturbation should not cause incontinence.
Masturbation has not been linked to urinary incontinence. You may be able to use Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles to decrease leakage.
