Kidney function is better served by avoiding foods and substances that increase work for the kidney. For example, phosphate almost totally excreted by the kidneys. To reduce the amount of phosphate work load for the kidneys, avoid colas, hard cheese, large amounts of brown beans and phosphate preservatives
