OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Emergency Contraception

My wife threw up after taking the plan B one step pill. What should we do?

2 days ago my wife had to take plan B one step, and one hour after, she threw up. Is this common? Is the pill now ineffective?? What should we do?

Probably let her take it with food. Otherwise proceed to your OBGYN to address this asap.
Could be problematic if dose was not ingested. May need a pregnancy test in 7-10 days

I think you need to take another Plan B. It is common to throw up after Plan B, and this time take antiemetic before Plan B.
In fact, the pills are ineffective. Repeat it again.
She should take it again if it is less than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. She may have absorbed enough to be effective, but maybe not.
A home pregnancy test in 10- 14 days is in order. Regular contraception is also advisable if not contraindicated by a medical condition.
Difficult to say. She could have expelled part of or whole pill.
Best now is to use protection until next cycle
You can repeat Plan B again. If that does not work, please call your OBGyn and discuss further.

Take care!
