Pediatrician Questions Flu

What are the symptoms of the flu with children?

My daughter came back from school sniffing her nose. Within about 3 hours she had extremely high fever. The doctor suggested Motrin for it to go down for the next two days, but I'm worried that this could easily be the flu since it's that time of year and she hasn't received her shot yet. What are some of the symptoms that I need to look out for?
