Pathologist Questions Urine Tests

The results of my urine sample was vague. Did I give a bad sample?

I gave my urine sample about 2 hours ago, and the results already came back. They seem a little vague. Is it possible that the sample that I gave was bad?

I don’t know what you refer as vague but there is a urine stick chemical analysis that is quick. It tells you immediately if you are positive for leukocytes esterase, nitrite, ph, protein, blood, specific gravity, ketones, glucose, and bilirubin. This is a quick test and reliable. Thank you.
The term "vague" does not describe actually what the result was reflecting; was there a comment about urine? Urine sample reporting depends a lot on the proper collection of the urine sample, especially when collected for a urine culture in suspected cases of infection. If the sample is not collected in an aseptic/clean manner, it may result in wrong reporting.
