Dentist Questions Baby teeth

What age do baby teeth usually fall out?

My son is 5 years old and his bottom tooth is starting to feel loose. Is it too early for them to fall out, or is this around the right age?

Loss of the baby teeth usually occurs in a wide variance between patients depending on their maturation dentally. Most baby teeth are gone by the age of 11 to 13 but some precocious children lose them by 9 or 10 period an orthodontist should be consulted to give you a better individual time frame for your child and also evaluate for possibly an orthodontic problem later on in adolescence
Exfoliation of baby teeth is quite variable. The average is at age six the lower two front teeth go first and the first permanent molars erupt way in the back. However this varies greatly.
No it’s normal around this age.
Age 5-6 children will start to lose their lower front baby teeth. 6-8 they lose their top front baby teeth. So it’s perfectly normal for your child’s teeth to be loosening.
Thank you for the question. The average age for primary lower central incisors to get loose and fall out is age six. However, it’s just an average age, not a deadline. Don’t be alarmed if the permanent tooth begins to erupt on the tongue side of the primary tooth before the primary tooth comes out as this is also fairly common.
Usual range for baby teeth to fall out is between 6 and 11 years. 5 years is a bit early, but could be fine.
