There are many effective methods for back pain; we use micro-current first, then non-force adjustments then Gonstead Method. There is also instrument adjusting with Activator.
Most Doctors of Chiropractic use manual manipulation of the spine to correct spinal Subluxations. Some use tools to do the same. Some add in nutrition to help support healing.
This question does not have an easy answer. First you should have a complete exam and history. Then depending on findings x-rays or some alternative form of spine evaluation could be performed. Another important factor is the cause of your back pain. Is it from an injury or just started without any history of Injury. Many causes of back pain may include disc herniation, flat feet (need of orthotics in your shoes), short leg......
Then the type if treatment or method of treatment. There are many chiropractic techniques. It is best to have a thorough conversation with your Doctor of Chiropractic to what therapeutic approach he/she would use.
Chiropractors use a variety of techniques and methods to ease pain and correct conditions causing back pain. The most effective treatment is usually manipulation, but chiropractors are licensed to provide most all treatment with the exception of surgery or use of prescription drugs. Manipulation, physical therapy, acupuncture and muscle work such as stretching and manual therapies are some of the treatments chiropractors typically provide. Check reviews and find a good provider in your area.
