it can detect tumors, masses, microcalcifications( which can be early sign of breadt cancer) , enlarged lymph nodes, architectural distortion (sign of cancer)...scars ..etc...
Mammography is a diagnostic tool that uses x-rays to image the breast. Used to diagnosis breast cancer. Can see masses, calcifications, skin thickening, nipple retraction, and distortions of the breast. Can do addition x-rays, ultrasound and MRI for further evaluation as needed.
A mammogram can detect benign, indeterminate and malignant microcalcifications. A mammogram can detect breast masses and architectural distortion potential signs of malignancy. A mammogram can detect axillary lymphadenopathy.
Mammography utilizes to detect abnormal masses and calcifications which are potential indicators of breast cancer.
